Al-Futtaim Toyota wraps up service-center competition with stunning grand prize


Dubai, UAE, November 10, 2019: It’s been more than a decade since Al-Futtaim Toyota pioneered hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) in the region when the first hybrid Toyota vehicles reached UAE shores back in 2008. Since that first step into the future of transportation, Al-Futtaim Toyota’s commitment to environmental conservation has remained with over 4,000 hybrid electric vehicles finding new homes across the nation. Combined, these cars have helped save approximately 340,000 tons of harmful CO2 emissions and 90 million litres of petrol - that’s roughly enough fuel for more than 600 trips to the moon and back!

Al-Futtaim Toyota took on the responsibility of leadership when it comes to green motoring with a promise of even more HEV models arriving at its showrooms over the next couple of years to improve air quality and help make UAE Vision 2021 a reality.

What began as a small fleet of hybrid Camry taxis in 2008 is now a fully-fledged HEV line-up of four models including the Corolla, Prius, Camry and RAV4, all available with HEV drivetrains.

Today, another HEV will join the UAE’s roads as Al-Futtaim Toyota awards the winner of its latest competition which offered one lucky Aftersales customer to drive off in a Hybrid Vehicle of their choice. Sheeja Shaji, was the lucky recipient of a RAV4 hybrid vehicle. The competition was open to all customers who brought their Toyota in for maintenance at one of Al-Futtaim Toyota's official service centers and Sheeja was the lucky winner picked from a pool of over 100,000 entrants.
