A handover of two Toyota Prius hybrid cars from Al-Futtaim Motors come as part of the Emirate’s goals of preserving the environment, as well as supporting the police force’s search for innovative products to assist their requirements. The Toyota Prius, which operates on both petrol and electric power without the need for charging, has joined the traffic patrol fleet of Ras Al Khaimah.
General Ali Bin Alwan al-Naimi, the Adjutant General of Ras Al Khaimah Police expressed
his pleasure with the new highly-equipped patrol vehicles, reflecting the
cultural development of the Emirates in general and Ras Al Khaimah in
particular. The new vehicles work towards creating a sustainable smart country
that provides the population with the highest levels of safety and security.
of the two hybrids will be employed in different neighbourhoods in the Emirate,
including tourist and residential, to reflect the modernization of the Emirate,
as well as preserve the peace for residents and visitors. The other vehicle
will be used in an effort to manage security on the streets through patrols and
policing traffic in an effort to manage daily traffic flow and increase safety
on the roads.
